Relationships: Humans and Nature

Happy almost Valentine's Day! This is a post about a relationship but not the kind many of you readers are most likely expecting. I can tell you one thing, they will not be getting each other chocolates and cards.

This post is about the relationship between Humans and Nature.

I believe that the relationship between humans and nature can be put into perspective.
Starting with nature's point a view:
While I am physically unable to do so, I can imagine. Scientifically, the plants of the world need our carbon dioxide. Animals have had the benefits of our modernized society as well however most of the time it has put many animals lives in danger more times than not. Our society has developed on top of nature in many ways thus crushing plant and animal life. The nature of the world while it does obtain a few benefits, is treated as inferior to the human race.

Now, the perspective of a human:
I feel that, like previously mentioned, we do support a few parts of nature. However, in the same token we take, take, and take. Yes, we have advocating to make the world green but in reality if humans and nature were equal, there would be no need to raise awareness, it would already exist.

After laying out perspective, I strongly believe that the human race uses nature and what does it receive in return? Some carbon dioxide, some cleaner homes, but much more prevailing we provide challenges for nature.
This relationship is not mutualism, but rather commensalism or worse parasitism.
My only hope is that this relationship has not effected too much of nature.

I hope this Blogging By Talia brought up some interesting thoughts for you. Feel free to leave comments in agreement, disagreement and or feedback.
