My name is Talia and I am 15 years old. I am in 10th grade and my favorite subjects in school are history and english. I am currently taking Ap European history and while it is time consuming, the information is some of the most interesting concepts I get to learn in the school setting... so I would say it is worth it.
I am also apart of my school's Model United Nations as an elective and I love it because it gives me a chance to utilize my knowledge of current events as well as public speaking.
I play tennis on our schools tennis team with my doubles partner and this is my 2nd year playing. I also play tennis outside of school additional to the high school team. But my favorite athletic activity is that I love to run because it is a sport where your biggest and hardest competition is yourself.
I also love to read. Actually that would be an understatement to just say love. If I could be reading every minute of the day I would most likely take up that offer. It became prevalent to me that reading is a passion of mine when I began picking up a book whenever I got a free moment after being thrust into the world of fiction, non-fiction, teen fiction, sci-fi, (you name it), through the portal of the book The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. Since that fateful day in 7th grade, Barnes and Noble became a frequent destination for myself and frankly my parents who had to drive me every other week.
My love for books and such has also brought me to enjoying writing and although I wouldn't consider myself a very good writer, I do believe that with time I do have a chance to publish a masterpiece lucky enough to sit on a bookshelf next to my favorite books of all time.
My friends and family are very important to me in that they put up with and support me in everything I do including my activities/school work.
I also need to mention that I like music because although I am not an avid listener or an extreme fan, I do love to sing and dance to it (even though I may or may not be great at either) because who doesn't?
That's about all I have about me for now, I will most likely have additions and corrections sooner or later.
So I hope you have enjoyed this weeks Blogging By Talia and follow along as I embark on the journey of blogging as a newbie.
